Turning a decade of policy impact into a clear, compelling story.

The challenge

After 10 years of policy, advocacy and coalition-building, the Louisiana Policy Institute for Children had never produced an annual report. Its achievements were spread across presentations, legislative materials, research reports, statistics, photographs and internal files.

The strategy

RENO Design reviewed and organized the source material, identified the strongest themes and metrics, and separated the organization’s long-term history from its most recent accomplishments.

AI-assisted research and synthesis helped accelerate the process. Strategy, verification, writing, editing and design remained human-led.

The work

  • Research and source review

  • Narrative strategy and organization

  • Writing and editing

  • Data selection and fact-checking

  • Infographics and editorial design

  • Production of two coordinated publications

The deliverable

The final work included a 20-page Decade of Impact report and a 12-page 2024–2025 annual report.

The result

The reports gave LPIC a clear, compelling way to communicate its history, policy influence and current impact to legislators, funders, partners and the public. The work was enthusiastically received and led directly to a referral for another major nonprofit impact report.
