The challenge
A national Teamsters leadership campaign needed to mobilize members and convention delegates across the country. The campaign involved a 27-candidate slate, rapidly changing information, sensitive membership data and strict communication requirements.
The strategy
RENO Design helped build a coordinated digital communications system connecting the campaign website, candidate information and direct SMS/MMS outreach.
After researching available platforms, I recommended Hustle and helped guide setup, licensing, compliance, segmentation and campaign use.

The work had to comply with restrictions governing the use of Teamsters membership and email lists, along with messaging compliance.
The messaging system included targeted templates, convention updates and rapid-response communications.
The result
The slate secured overwhelming delegate support at the national convention, eliminating the need for a November election—a historic first. Campaign leadership credited the texting program as a decisive factor in the outcome.
